On 30th May 2018, CheerForce took a huge step to change its direction and purpose as we saw the problem that was causing the sport of cheerleading to decline in Singapore. We decided to make the change from a competition oriented team to a performance oriented team so as to reach out to more Singaporeans to promote and increase the awareness for the sport we love.

Being a Singapore cheerleading performance team, we are on the constant lookout for talents that has the love for performing as well as the love for cheerleading. However, we also welcome public with no prior cheerleading experience to come and join us to learn about the sport of cheerleading and the safety precautions that coaches and members take to ensure everyone has a fun and safe training.

Together as a team, we aim to increase the public’s awareness and understanding of cheerleading as a unique performance sport in Singapore through our cheerleading performances and workshops. Cheerleading is a unique performance sport that requires the participation and cooperation of all members in the team. It helps individuals to build trust, teamwork, discipline and leadership within the team.

Through our efforts, we aim to have more people exposed to cheerleading in a conducive and fun environment where safety is the top priority. For those who are interested to have a try at cheerleading, our trainings are on every Friday 7:30pm-10:30pm and every Saturday 1pm-4pm. Drop us a message or an email if you would like to join us for our training sessions or just to find out more about cheerleading and about CheerForce.

FIFA Performances & Our Second Cheerleading Cover

As the FIFA World Cup 2018 comes to a close with France taking home this year's trophy, it was an eventful period for CheerForce as we helped many companies cheer up their FIFA events, from out in the field to private ballroom events. We are delighted that many clients and audiences loved our performance and we had a great time working together with them.

Apart from performances, CheerForce manage to put together our second cheerleading cover to this year’s Coca-Cola FIFA anthem, Colors by Jason Derulo! It was our first time working with an external production crew consist of talented students from Republic Polytechnic and it was great experience to have them on board this production.

In order to make the video good, everyone met up for extra training days outside of our usual Friday and Saturday trainings to work on the routine as we would want to present the best we can for everyone to see.

On the shoot day, everything went smoothly with great natural lighting and stunts are going up well. However, things took a turn and it started drizzling. With just a few more scenes left and determined to complete the production, the team and the crew decided to brave the weather to complete the shoot before seeking shelter.

At the post production phase, we found out that some of the video quality and angles are not ideal. With everyone’s schedule clashing for another videoshoot, we have decided to shorten the video so as to ensure that we only put the best scenes into it. Check it out on our YouTube channel CheerForce SG and tell us what do you think!

Production for a cheerleading cover was never an easy task, but we enjoy doing it as we hope to be able to present cheerleading in various different concepts so as to increase the awareness of this performance sport that we love. We will continue to work hard to give everyone better performance and cheerleading cover next time.

History Of CheerForce SG

CheerForce SG was started back in 2014 by Coach TJ and Coach Gwen with the purpose to provide an avenue for cheerleaders to train at regardless of their skills and experience. They recruited members from all walks of life, from students to working adults, from taleted individuals to members with zero experience in the sport. Everyone came together under one roof, one team, one family.

CheerForce started off in a small rented warehouse in Oxley Bizhub which they only had 5 metre by 5 metre space for us to conduct training. Resources were limited but their passion for the sport was not. They trained hard with the aim to take part in their first cheerleading competition in 2016. Representing CheerForce at the Asia Cheerleading Invitational Championship 2016 was 3 group stunts and they managed to clinch 2nd Runners-Up.

With their participation in the competition, words spread about this new young team in Singapore and more people joined the team. As the team continues to grow, they reached out to overseas cheerleading community and connected with Vanquish Cheerleading team in Thailand and had their first overseas exchange in late 2016. Since then, relationships between both teams only got closer.

In 2017, CheerForce made the decision to take part in the team category at the Asia Cheerleading Invitational Championships 2017 despite vast majority of the team having no experience in team competition at the Asia level. That was the first time CheerForce sent a full team of 24 men to compete against 5 other teams from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and China.

Despite the strong competition and them being a relatively young team, CheerForce conquered the uphill battle and emerged 1st Runners-Up in the competition that year. The team was filled with tears of joy when the announcement was made and no words could describe that moment for the team as they know all their efforts have paid off being crowned 2nd in Asia.

Determined to come back better and stronger, CheerForce recruited more members and worked on overcoming their weaknesses from the previous competition. Many overcomed their fears to become better for the team. Although it was a tough journey with many obstacles in their way, they pushed through together as a team and all their efforts were worth it when CheerForce was announced Champion for the Asia Cheerleading Invitational Championship 2018 Team Cheer Coed Elite Division.

They are the champion team in Asia. For them, it was a dream come true.
